Manly
Yesterday we took the ferry across the harbor to Manly beach. It's a very popular tourist area just north of the harbor mouth. The view from the ferry on the way there was a treat in itself. Pictures taken from the ferry are on the photo site under the folder 'View from Ferry'. Once we got to Manly we walked across from the harbor side to the open ocean side and had lunch on the beach. We walked out onto some rocks that were exposed due to the low tide and saw lots of creatures in the mini tide pools that form in the pits and crevices. Pictures from the beach are on the photo site in the album 'Manly'.

Sydney Tower
Myra got two tickets for a skywalk on the Sydney Tower for her birthday. We used them this past Friday. We stood on a glass platform 260 meters above the city. Myra hit me for jumping up and down on it. Sometimes the visibility changed from 20 miles to 20 yards all of a sudden as a cloud passed around us. The tickets also included a trip to the observation deck, so we went back there with the camera and took several pictures of the city below. I posted those in the photo site in a new album.
Royal Botanic Gardens
This weekend Myra and I took a walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. We walked around the old government house where this year's APEC conference was held, but we were too late to go on the tour. There's a new album on the photo site that has a lot of pictures in it. I thought it was amazing to see trees full of bats during the day. I've only seen them at night before. I finished my last exam today :) Myra finished hers last Wednesday, so the only thing left to do now is pack everything up and enjoy our last week in Oz.

Central Coast
This weekend Anne and Warren took us up to the Central Coast to visit Warren's brother Wayne. We had a great afternoon of good food and good company, and the view from Wayne's house is amazing. Several of the pictures, including the one beside this post, were shot from his yard. There's a new album on the photo site called 'Central Coast' that's worth taking a look at.
